Sara Dee - understudy

With a front credit on her first feature Chasing Dreams, a year of national press & TV attention when working at Pinewood with Sir Norman Wisdom, a role opposite Ray Winstone at The Royal Court Theatre and a private jet whisking Sara off to celebrate her lead role in her Cannes debut film, Café D' Paris, Sara Dee got used to the responsibility of high-end productions early in her career. An award nominated performance as a powerful Dominatrix in the play Satisfaction Guaranteed (Talk Of London/Tristan Bates) led to many main roles on the London fringe, including Diana in Absent Friends (Tabard), Deborah in The Song Of Deborah, Ava Bree in End Of The Night (White Bear) and as 'Kristina Linde' in a production of The Doll's House (Rosemary Branch) that was selected for the Ibsen festival in Norway. Sara's TV debut was playing 'The Broadcaster' in the Channel Five feature Jim's Gift. On ITV she played the ruthless journalist 'Margaret Rawlins' in Lynda La Plante's The Commander, and was chosen by director Andy Wilson to play 'Lady Hysteria' in his opulent BBC feature Riot At The Rite. An interesting role in Jim Groom's theatrically released movie Room 36 and a plethora of starring roles in many short films followed including Martin Pavey's highly acclaimed thriller Flash Back, which provoked BAFTA luminaries to suggest Sara as a candidate for the 'Rising Star Award'. The film also marked her Hollywood debut screening. Sara appears in the award-winning feature She Should Have Gone To The Moon and her voice is featured on the first scene of the latest Raindance winner Down Terrace. Sara has recently stepped back into her Dominatrix persona to play Boss 'Gabrihel' in Johan Kruger's cleverly sinister Zombie Office, distributed on the Horror Vault 3 DVD.
